The Law Firm

Art Restitution Law

S+N Rechtsanwälte are specialized in the field of national and international art restitution law. We are particularly focused on the restitution of Nazi-looted art to the pre-war owners or their heirs. The goal is to achieve fair and just solutions on the basis of the Washington Principles adopted in 1998 and their follow-up declarations.

Nazi-looted art includes works of art that were lost to their owners during the period of National Socialist tyranny in Europe as a result of persecution through looting, theft, forced sale or in some other way.
